It’s been some time since I’ve been online and some of you may be new, some of you may still be with me, whatever the case may be, it’s good to be back!
Last I was up and running things was back in 2013. A lot has happened since then, some wonderful experiences, some incredibly stressful and painful, but all of them have been hugely educational and for all of them, I am extremely grateful.
Life circumstances led me to begin the study of Somatic Experiencing and I have not looked back. This therapeutic approach to health has been life changing and I am now finding a deep and true sense of happiness in myself as a result of the strength and resilience I have gained through both the study of SE and undertaking ongoing personal sessions.
You are invited to have a read of the (so far) two pages on this site to get a feel for what Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Touch are about. In my own words (cobbled together with much advice and assistance from teachers and clients alike!), I would describe Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Touch as a method for laying down new neural pathways for healthier behaviours and resilience.
There will be questions, I am sure, so I will continue to keep you updated and share information on what SE is, how it might help and the physiology of trauma, something we are all touched and affected by, it’s just a matter of how much it affects us and how we move through the world.
